I have never heard of Travis Tritt before, but I liked the song. The lyrics sounded a bit...well depressing to me. Maybe it's just my mood. ;)

Do I have an opinion? You bet.
If you listen carefully:

Think of the "Corn" as being God's word, and the "weeds" as evil....and you get the point pretty quick.
Where faith does not abound, sin abounds in plenty.
